I have a GE Washer that's about 6 years old. Lately when it has been draining/pumping out the water it has started to get really loud. Part of the problem I believe is I don't have a drain in the floor of my basement. The washer is hooked up to a long flexible hose I'm guessing is about 5 feet long. The water drains out from the hose in the bottom of the washer then has to be pumped up this 5-foot hose to a wide pipe that leads out of the house. The pipe that exits the house is high up on the wall just above eye level. I'm wondering if the stress on the washer after 6 years of having to pump out the water then up this long pipe to exit the house is starting to wear on it.

I don't know very much about washers and how they work so I apologize if my questions are stupid but...is there any way I can lessen the stress on my washer pump having to drain the washer out then up this long pipe? Is there some type of component I can attach to my washer to help pump the water and lessen the stress on the washer itself pumping out the water? Is this as much stress on the washer as I'm thinking having to pump out the water this distance or is this a common setup? Are there washers available that would handle pumping out the water better than the GE? Should I raise the washer up somehow to cut even a little bit of the distance and stress down? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
