I want to replace the hood above my range with a microwave, but it seems it might not work dimensionally. My cabinets are only 12" deep and it looks like the microwaves are 15 inches deep or more.

It's not supposed to stick out, right?

Is there a way I could make it work?

Thanks,
Ken

Hi Ken,

Standard depth for wall cabinets is 12", and over-the-range-microwaves is 15" (I just measured mine to be sure..) so that must be the way it is.. Go ahead and install yours, and enjoy.. It'll be ok, as is, just follow the installation instructions and be sure to vent it to the outside!
