My shower head leaks. It is a stand up fiberglass (32"x32") shower with a single handle that you pull to turn it on and turn left or right to adjust the temp.

The faucet body is behdind the fiberglass wall and I am not sure if that needs to be replaced or if there is some way to get to a washer that may be bad.

What I am left with after removing the handle assembly is a rod (that the handle was mounted to) going into the faucet assembly. Around the rod is what looks and feels like a hard plastic washer with two tabs on it.

I really do not know where to go from here.

Do you know brand and model name or number on either the valve or the trim?

For example:

Moen 3510 valve
Moen T3124 trim
Moentrol valve
Moen Monticello trim

Would all get us to the same basic valve body.

Any and all specific info would help!

Sounds like moen, install a new moen cartridge 1225B that will fix it.

Thanks for your suggestions. I think it is a Moen too, but I will need to doublecheck. I could always purchase the cartridge you suggest and take it back if it is wrong.

I bough a 'puller' too. Not sure if that was a waste of $, but the book at Home Depot showed the person using one to get the cartridge out. I would have just used vice grips, but I was there so I picked one up.

I will give this a try and see how it goes.

Thanks again.
