Hi all,
I have a "Ben Franklin" woodburning stove that i am going to replace with a direct vent gas stove.
Currently, the venting for the wood stove goes straight up, through the cathedral ceiling, and proceeds up about 5ft past the roof.
I am wondering if for my new gas stove, if i can simply replace the indoor venting and have it just slide into the existing outdoor assembly, therefore saving myself the cost of new material and having to deal with the seal of the roof...
thanks

I dont see why not . If the pipe is good and the jack there for it is. If it passed for wood it sure will pass for a gas furnace.
