Hello,

I just changed the Oil, Blade, Spark Plug and Oil filter on my 9 year old Craftsman 5.5 Horsepower mower.

Oil is now leaking, lots of it, and I cannot find the source. There is not a drain plug, oil is removed from the "spout". I cannot find where the heck it is coming from, but it is somehow dripping down on to the blade and down.

Any thoughts? The plug appears dry. Anything with the drive wheels?

Thanks

check the crankshaft oil seal , see if it is dry or wet . if its wet replace the seal.

Was your mower leaking before you did the tune up? When you added the oil, how much did you add? Normally it will be around 20 oz or so. If you overfilled it, it may be coming out of the breather tube and possibly down onto the blade.
Hope this helps.
