Hi, we are remodeling our basement. I am wanting to insulate the basement floor (cement slab) with 2" polystyrene and cover that with plywood. We have a bathroom in our basement and I am at a loss as to how to raise up the toilet flange to meet the new floor height. Any ideas???

Items are made to extend an existing flange if you add flooring. Here is an example of a Closet Flange Spacer Kit from Plastic Oddities:

www.plasticoddities.com/WEBPO5/Downloads/flanges2.pdf (http://www.plasticoddities.com/WEBPO5/Downloads/flanges2.pdf).

Scroll down to page 16 of 25 of the .pdf file (it is their page 15 of the catalog). However, I don't know if you can put multiple ones together to achieve the height adjustment you need.

Another possiblity, if you can take out your old flange, is to replace your old one with something like the 3x4 Adjustable Flange that can be seen in that same .pdf on page 14 of 25 (page 13 of their catalog).

Hopefully someone with more experience will follow up on this post.

I hope all goes well with your project!

Your local plumbing suppply, or even HD/Lowes probably carry the expansion kits which come with 3 rings, about 3/8" thick each, that you can use to raise the flange.
I had to use one after I laid cork plank in our guest bathroom.
.
PS.
I have 2 left over if youre interested. Im not going to use them, that I can think of anyway.
