I have a Craftsman 18" chainsaw that I have been using for about 6 months and the chain/bar oiler is not working. I have completely cleaned it up and made sure something wasn't plugging it up. How exactly does the oiler push the oil out. How can I fix this problem.

Thanks

To get at the oiler assembly, you have to remove the clutch cover, bar & chain and clutch assembly. Behind the clutch assembly will be a chrome plate that needs to be removed and behind this will be the oiler assembly. This is a very common problem area on Craftsman (which is made by Poulan, by the way). Using your model number, go to http://www3.sears.com/intro.shtml and input this number, find the oiler assembly, order such and replace when you have in your hands. Take care and good luck.
