I see what you mean by afordable. The part list for $211.00 and then you got shipping and taxes which would make it about $230.00.
I would take it to a local welding shop to get it repaired. A lot of shops pride themselves on repairing things like this.

Good grief! That's a lot. Check with local small engine repair shops, you may be able to find a used one. A welding/machine shop would also be a very good place to take it, as suggested.

What part of Oregon? I am acrossed the river in Vancouver Wa. and have one repaired and 2 used prolly not much help.
If you cant find a small shop with a spare or that will repair yours, also check with 4wheel drive shops, some of them fellers get in their own world when going under the helmet :D
