In my main bathroom, the water level is really low causing it to not flush completly. How can I increase the water level?

If the water level in the tank is too low you can either adjust the float arm(bend slightly or use an adjustment screw sometimes supplied at the end of the float arm.
If you do not have a float ball you would use the adjusting screw on the type of inlet you have. Some are towers and some are small flat plastic things. No matter what kind you have there will be an adjustment mechanism somewhere.

number2 on this link will show you where the adjustment is for this type.

if your fill valve looks like #2 in this link there will be a plastic adjusting screw on the top or side

I hope this helps, post back and let us know

The water level in the tank seems to be at the mark. Its the toilet bowl water level that is low.

The only thing that regulates the amount of water in the bowl, is the trap that is built into the toilet. That is what seals the toilet off from the drain to prevent sewer gas from coming into the house. Is the water level, when the toilet reaches the end of a flush and the tank refills, higher than after it sits for a while? That would indicate a crack in the toilet base letting water leak out either into the drain ( if you are lucky ) or going somewhere else. Second senario: Flush the toilet, let it do the complete cycle. Hopefully the water level is higher at that time (if not, slowly add water from a bucket or something, until it looks about where it should be. Turn on the water at the nearest fixture ( sink, tub, etc) and watch the water in the bowl.Even better, if the are two toilets in the house (one above the other) have someone flush the other one while you watch the problem one.If the water moves, you have a blocked vent which is causing the water to be sucked out of the toilet into the drain. You can check the vent where it comes out of the roof. Look for a blockage, birdsnest etc and if possible remove it. If you don't see anything at the top of the vent, look down it with a flashlight. If plugged, you will have to snake it out. Good luck and post back
