I have had new counter tops installed in the kitchen. My intent is to install halogen puck lights to accent the counter top areas. The kit comes with five lights with 6' cord and sabre plugs that attach to a provided 5 plug extention cord. Can I splice the wires togather and run to a dimmer switch? Don't want to use in line switch on extension cord. I have purchased a lutron dimmer and a junction box for the wiring I have run the wires (5) to the box.
from the lights. I have a two receptacle plug in close by. Can I draw power from the recepacle and run to power side of the dimmer thensplice into the lighting wires with a nut cap ? Lighting wires have one ribbed and one smooth. what do I do with the smooth wire? Help please
Thank you in advance
