I have a broken hot water knob. I try to turn it on and the knob just goes round and round beyond what it's supposed to do to turn the hot water on and off. Do I need to put on a new knob or can I repair the one I have?
Thanks DLP47

You should be able to just replace the hot water valve stem.
Turn off the hot water shut-off under the sink ( or the main, if you don't have an under-the-sink shut-off).
Remove the handle and the retaining cap around the valve stem. Pull the valve stem out, take it to the store, and get one exactly like it.
Replace it in reverse order.
Good luck!
