I HAVE A 14 HP B&S ENGINE
I CLEANED AND REPLACED THE CARBURATOR BUT IT STILL SEEMS NOT TO BE GETTING GAS.IT WILL RUN IF I POUR GAS IN THE CARB. THEN IT CUTS OFF AFTER IT BURNS WHAT I POURED IN IT.IT IS A BOWL TYPE CARB WITH A SOLENOID
ON THE BOWL. THE BOWL IS FILLING WITH GAS. I CUT THE PLUNGER OFF THE SOLENOID SO IT COULD NOT RESTRICT
THE GAS FLOW.NEED HELP, WHY IS THERE NO GAS GETTING
IN THE CARB. I WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR HELP

Replaced the Carb? Assuming you reinstalled the original carb you removed and cleaned..?...
The solenoid can be removed and replaced with a bolt of like threads.
With no #'s from your machine, I think your carb does not have a removable main jet. I have found some carbs that would only come around after a good bath in some good Carb cleaner. As it has been mentioned in other posts, the normal spray cleaners dont do the job like a good bath in real carb cleaner, which you should be able to buy at most any auto parts store. Puey knows the NAPA part# by heart :p
If the sediment bowl is recieving fuel, hopefully this will get ya goin.

It does have a removeable jet but it can be a pain to remove it if you have to. Look at the main pickup tube that drops down from the bottom of the carb. There should be a small brass jet threaded into the side of it. Make sure that jet orfice is clear. If it is and it still won't run, you might need to remove the main jet. The carb cleaner would probably do the job without having to remove it.

The cleaner Term mentioned can be found at any NAPA Auto store. The stuff works wonders, but use caution when handling this stuff, it is very caustic. Use protective gloves and eyewear and be sure to remove any rubber and most plastic parts before soaking the carburetor in this solution and soak for only 20 minutes. Remove after 20 and flush off with a spray carb cleaner then blow off with compressed air and, finally, reassemble with any needed new parts - preferably a rebuild kit from a Briggs parts source.
