The engine shuts down, or the mower deck comes to a stop? Or something else?

The engine shuts down when I release the brake after starting it. I would like to disable the saftey equipment on the mower if possible to fix this problem but I am not sure how to. I called snapper and they said the problem was the switch under the seat. I hooked the two wires together but it still will not stay running after I release the brake.

Not sure, but if I remember right, connecting the wires together is the same thing as not sitting on the seat on a snapper. You probably need a new seat switch.
