When I had my valves ground, on my Kubota T1400H, the margin on the intake valve had to be ground off to practically non-existent. My question is, should I replace the valve or don't you think it will be alright on the intake, since this valve doesn't run quite as hot?

I would replace it. A thin margin can still get pretty hot and ignite the fuel mixture prematurely, and it won't allow for much wear/seating in.
