I have a small table with a very complex veneer pattern. It is relatively new, so I believe the clear finish on it is a poly type. My problem is that it has many fine scratches in the clear finish. They do not go into the stained area of the wood. How can I remove or reduce these scratches? I do not want to strip the finish or do anything that could damage the veneered surface.
