Ok, I just bought REALLY expense doors (we are talking $2000.00) REALIBUILT from Lowes. And they came pre-finished almost finshed white to the point looks like won't have to paint it white. Now I also have ext. storm door on both doors. Now is this true that if I don 't not paint the door that it will rust? I have seen doors that are still pre-finished in great shape or they are just lucky. I have always respect for DIY for straight answer, hope this is enough info.
Thanks

If the door is actually "pre-finished" with a finish coat of some sort of paint, then you should not have to paint it. If it is only primed, which some are and they look like they are finished, then you definitely have to paint it usually within 30 days or it will start to rust. I'm assuming this is a metal door?

Yes the door is metal, I have to check I believe it's pre-finished. I have to look at the folder the doors came in, I will let you know

By all means refer to the data from the manufacturer. If primed, it must be painted. Be sure to use the type of paint specified by the manufacturer of the door.
