I'm looking for some advice on painting masonite siding. I am unsure what type of paint I should be using and whether I will need to prime or not.
The paint on it now has peeled off in large patches and will need some scraping first I would think.
would I need to prime over the exposed ares after scraping, or the entire surface? and what type of exterior paint should I look for?
any help would be much appreciated.
TIA

You need to prime the peeld areas. Prime the whole house only if you want to. But if the peeled areas are a lot, might as well do the whole thing.
Any good quality latex exterior primer/paint should be fine.
