Hi,

While visiting the construction of my new home the other day, I noticed the placement of the a/c compressor unit is less than ideal. It is located under the inside corner (meaning towards the middle of the house) of the kitchen window which is the backyard. Mind you, the yard area to landscape is pretty small but, now it seems that I can enjoy this noisy eyesore as I sit in my patio chair! The best location for it is about 12 feet away around the corner on the side of the house.

Can this thing be moved?
Who should do the work - the contractor that is working with the builder?
What are the pros and cons of moving it?
How much should it cost?

Id talk to the builder and tell him noway do you want that by the window there. He should have the hvac company move it. Hey your paying the bill for the home and you just dont want it there.............. Sure it can be moved.
