I currently live in Manhattan, in what was a 1959's luxury bulding. The floors are hardwood and the beams are wood between floors. The cielings are plaster/lath.
My upstairs neighbors are a little noisy and I'm trying to soundproof the ceiling. So far what I've done is put up resiliant channel and a layer of soundboard. The next step is 3/8" sheetrock.
When putting up the soundboard the screws in the channel have spread the holes and are not holding so I've used flat sheetmetal screws to hold up the soundboard. Is there some type of adhesive that will help hold the sheetrock up to the soundboard. The soundboard is called homeosote? Thanks
