Had a small hallway area quite out of level, previously covered with sheet vinyl. To correct level applied Mapei's SLC as per instructions. Overall area, measured end-to-end, is now quite level. But on a smaller scale there are small mounds and dips in the SLC. Imagine a 1' radius circle about 1/8" high (or low) to visualize the non-perfect areas, there are several of these spread around randomly. So my SLC technique must not be what it should have been, or Mapei's SLC didn't perform like it should have. (any tips?)
At any rate, am considering 15x15 laminate tiles as a flooring. How flat (or "plane") does the surface need to be? Will additional spot filling and grinding be reccommended?
Thanks,
