...all good finish capenters everywhere. As I remodel my new house (new = old, decrepit 1910 colonial), I find more and more ways of doing things wrong. LOL!

Finish carpentry is absolutely an art form. I knew that before, but have a whole new respect for it now. I am getting frustrated on a daily basis doing this sort of thing (seeing as I'm an amateur). I still enjoy it, but when it's all said and done, I'll be glad when it's over.

Next time someone complains about a high bill for carpentry work, tell them to try it themselves so they can realize just how difficult your work is and why it costs so much. You guys deserve every penny!

Thank you very much for those encouraging words... Sometimes people just don't understand it until they get way too far into making a mess out of something... And I hate to put it that way, but it is true... You are right, Finish carpentry along with other types of carpentry are truly art forms...
