Does anyone have an opinion on on Hayfield Vinyl Casement replacement windows for use in MN? I just read the warranty and Its pretty fussy. However the window looks like a good value, quality seal and hardware etc. The window I am looking at sells for $250 and a comparable Marvin sells for $400.
Thanks
Thanks

valsigplym,
Welcome.
Never heard of Hayfield windows. But that doesn't mean ANYTHING, other than they are a local or regional window company and don't deal in CA. HAve you ever heard of Amerimax or EPI windows? Probably not. They are pretty much a west coast thing. EVERYBODY has heard of Marvin's, Pella's, Certainteed's, etc. -- they are sold nationally, and even internationally.
If the warranty is "pretty fussy", then I would look elsewhere. But then, I'm spoiled. Amerimax and EPI's warranties are pretty simple -- 'if ANYTHING ever goes wrong, we'll fix it'. (And Amerimax's warranty is transferrable to the next owner, one time.)
