I'm in the process of adding an attached garage to my house- the living room opens onto the roof of the garage, which I'm about to finish. (It currently has 3/4" ply and 30lb. roofing felt, sloped 1/4" per foot) I have a good deal of tamarindo (aka "Brazilian rosewood") t&g flooring left over from the interior, and want to know if it's ok to use it outside, and if so how I should seal it. (I don't want to paint it) The deck faces south and I'm in Los Angeles, so sun exposure will cause more damage than anything else-

Whatever I use does have to be watertight, as this is over the garage and adjacent to the house.
