Please help me out...

I am buildig a large patio and I have been using irregular shaped different colors of flagstone. I used rock dust for my base, but I have about 1 inch gaps between each stone. I was initiailly planning on having grass between the stones, but have decided to go with easier upkeep. Is there a material that I can put between the stones that will keep them more securly in place? I know there is filler for brick patios, but my gaps are much larger. Can I use the same material?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Chris

Are the flagstones laid dry? That is without any mortar?

Yes, they were laid dry in about 2 inches of rock dust. I did not use any mortar to lay them down.

In your case, pack stone dust between the flagstones.

Hope this helps.
