Has anyone dealt with them. They have 5/4 x 6 Ipe for 1.79 a lin ft. Best price I have seen and within driving distance. Is there anything I need to pay attention in inspecting the wood if I decide to make the trip? I have only seen Ipe online and never in person.

As far as the Ipe, you probably won't go wrong at that price.
As far as INSTALLING it -- the other name for Ipe is "Ironwood". You'll be pre-drilling and countersinking every screw hole. It is VERY labor intensive. It's a good deck, and the finished product is great. But, as a contractor, when I quote the price for an Ipe deck, installed, it works out to be more expensive than a Trex deck. (But then, I'm paying my crew by the hour to drill all those holes!!!)

I hope this reaches you in time. I originally purchases 830 sf of Brazilian Cherry from Lumber Liquidators on 4/18/04 with supposedly a 10 day delivery. Needless to say, I still do not have the flooring to this day. It has taken literally hours of phone calls which have gone unanswered, faxes, and letters including to the president of the company, Tom Sullivan. Now they want me to settle from the originally ordered 5" to 3" with they paying only shipping charges, and they want me to pay the original balance (5") before they even start the shipping from another of their locations. i.e. they have the flooring but will not ship, and certainly will not satisfy the customer should any problem arises. Their claim is that they are growing so much that it is hard to keep up.
