We need to install a gate. Swing is a bad idea because of snow. We have a concrete driveway to work with. We would like some imput on if anyone has every heard of a wooden gate that rolls. See what I mean? A wanna be handy mom. I think of stuff I have a hard time finding info on. Thanks for any advice.

The only rolling gates that I've seen are electric remote-controlled metal frame and chainlink types, but I bet that you could bolt wood planks to the frame, or build a wooden one yourself by looking closely at one.

Certainly! I've made'm! You have to use much of the same hardware that you use for a chain link or metal gate.

Main thing to remember: You have to have enough room to roll it to the side and it would be nice if the ground was flat. It can be done, however, if the gound is not level. You would then have to insure that your rolling rails were
level..........or at the same degree off-level as the driveway.

These can be installed electrically as well as manually. I have never installed an electric one. I'm not licensed for that.
