Can anyone tell me what exactly crackle will work on??
I have an old dresser that is made out of thin plywood, and I also havea computer desk from walmart... the one with the paper stuff on it? Is it possible to paint the computer desk at all??

It should work well on any interior, smooth, hard surface.

Hi there Dustin...
You can try painting that type of furniture; the challenge is that it usually starts to bubble. If you can get a primer coat on it without the bubbles, you're home free! At that point you use a semi-gloss paint for your base color, because crackle works better over a slicker surface. Then go get the crackle medium from Sherwin Williams and put it on your furniture.
Apply with a sponge for random cracks, or a brush for linear cracks.
Allow to dry, then put on your top coat of paint with a sponge.
Don't get your paint layer on too heavy, and don't overwork your areas. Just move along at a steady rate for application and sit back and watch the magic!
