Hello! Greetings from Holland,
So my Polish friend who speaks no English- owns a tile business, gave me some wonderful Italian tiles for our Kitchen. We are in the netherlands which means we had no flooring when we moved in. We have a a small kitchen with particle board floors. My friend has now dissapeared, but since he does not speak English I wouldn't be able to ask him this anyways. So , here I am...
What do I need, and how do I lay these tiles inexpensively and correctly? I have a mitre saw, and I figured out I need to lay masonite down first, yes? I saw the small crosses at the store for lining them up. Do I have to seal the floor? Any advice from the masters would be appreciated.

Particleboard is not a good substrate for tile,if there is any way to tear that out then do so and use 3/4 plywoodc.d.x. or llayerd ply wood if at all possible then you can lay tile either over the wood or use a backer board for the tile get back to us and tell us if tearing out the particle board is an option or not
