I am installing a layer of brick pavers over a concrete porch. Figuring out the number of bricks needed is easy. How do I estimate the amount of mortar I will need?

Hello: chartnett
Best places I have ever found to obtain answers to those types of questions are the building material yards. From whom I purchased the materials.
In my area and in my experiences, the personal whom work in these business are the pros whom I have asked. They have never given me incorrect advice.

I do not have any advice from personal experience but I ran across this calculator at QUIKRETE: http://www.quikrete.com/calculator/calculator.html . It is for a brick wall, but you might add 2/3s for the attaching the bricks to the concrete. I hope a proffesional can come along and give you better advice. (by the way, you would not use concrete because it has gravel in it. Mortar is used between bricks)
