I'm building a new house and have a question about my sump pits.
First off, I have a sump pit in each corner of my basement,(big ranch)with drain tile around the exterior of the whole house. The floor has not been poured yet and have been noticing water around the footing when it rains(inside). I found out that the guys who installed the pits, cut holes in the bottom of the pits. Is this normal or will the still water in the pits eventually leach into the floor?? Should I plug them up??

Also, when they poured the footings, they forgot to leave a couple extra feet of drain tile, coming out of footing on one of the pits( it is flush with the footing wall). So they cut the drain tile in half, twisted it and stuck it into the hole when they installed the pit. I noticed it wasn't filling up like the other pit was, so I put my hand in there and found that the drain tile wasn't even installed in the other drain tile. So the water is draining into the stone of the basement floor, not the pit. What should I due to fix these problems??

Hope someone can help

Thanks.
