I have just finished tiling a kitchen backsplash using 2"X2" tiles set 1/16" apart. The company I bought the tiles from included sanded grout. I am wondering if it is correct to use sanded or unsanded grout. Or does it really matter since it is on the wall. This is my first tile job and I am really happy with it, so I don't want to screw it up now with a bad grout-job!
Thanks for any and all help!

If your tile has a glossy finish, I'd use unsanded grout so as to not scratch the tile finish. There should be a couple of the tile pros around over the wkend to answer you more fully. Good luck. ;)

Thanks for the advice Awesome, but I supposed the real question is, since I have this sanded grout, and the tiles are not glossy, am I making more work for myself, or is the sanded grout just as easy to work with, being a beginner and all? Do I need any special tools, or is the rubber float fine? Does sanded grout have less work time? Harder to manipulate?

Are these tile on a sheet? If so then use the sanded grout. There is actually less working time with the unsanded grout it dries a lot faster. No speacial tools just a rubber float and a sponge and water should do ya just fine
