This is really an car audio question, but thought I'd try here first. My car stereo has 8-ohm outputs. Can I hook them to 4-ohm speakers?

NO you should not do that.

Unless your radio specifically states that it is stable at 4-ohms - don't do it.

You won't hurt the speakers, but you could fry the radio.

Good luck!

Thanks guys! It was what I thought too but wasnt sure. Now I know why the speakers were priced so cheap!

The fact that the speakers are 4 ohm doesn't automatically make them any better or worse than an 8 ohm speaker. Your amp is the device that is lacking in this equation.
