I have a piece of furniture that has a mirrored glass section on it. One of the pieces of the mirror has broken. I am planning on getting a new piece of mirror and re-applying it to the unit. What type of mastic should be used and where can I get it. This piece of mirror is small (about 4" x 10") and is attaching to a material similar to "formica". I am not really sure what the "formica" material is but it is a thin veneer that is very shinny.

Ask for mirror mastic where you buy the piece of mirror. In my shop, I use silicone. I know some others will say not to use it but I'm using it for 20 years without ant problems.
