Hello All,
Just finished the 12x12 tiles in the basement and now ready to take on the tile in the small bathroom.
Putting down a 1/2" of Durorock and then the tile.
Well the 12x12 I put down in the basement I used 1/4 x 1/4
thinset.
The tile in the bathroom 12x12 sheet of small tiles pattern. The tile is thinner, should I be using 1/8 x 1/8 or stay with the 1/4 x 1/4?
Thanks in advance.

use the 1/4 x 1/4 and take a grout float and tap the tile in after setting them to ensure a good bond

Floorman,
Thanks, If you don't mind me asking one more question.
Can I use Liquid nails and screws to bond the cement board to the plywood or do I need to use 1/4 x 1/4 thinset?

The reason for the thinset is to fill the voids between the durock and the subfloor,so technically speaking the liquid nails will not do anything but bond to the subfloor and not fill the voids, are you nailing or screwing this down?

That sounds good.
I am using screws made for durock.
