I have a few beautiful decorative tiles from Italy and would like to install them as a backsplash on the kitchen wall. Is there a way to treat the drywall or a special adhesive to use that will enable me to remove the tile without damaging the tile or the drywall in the future if we move away?
Tom DiSilva commented on the OldHouse website that tiles should not go directly on the drywall, and "depending on the glue" used, tiles could be removed, soaked, scraped, and saved for re-use.
