Hello Errol!

You live in my neck of the woods!

Look for an aftermarket blade called a "gator blade". They era made of thicker steel and last much longer. If you want to grow grass under those oak trees, lime the area. Get some pelletized lime from the store and broadcast it. The oak trees make the ground under them so acidic that grass cannot grow there. You'll have to do this yearly, but the lime is cheap.

For an even heavier blade (thicker material) try Gator Magnum. These are products made by Oregon.

Hi: Errol

The specialty blades wanted should be available at the local small engine sales and or repair shops and or lawn mower stores in your area.

"Gator" blades are a trademark of Oregon Outdoor Equipment. More commonly known for forestry products. Go to www.oregonoep.com and use their store locator for a location near you. If you were to provide me with machine specifics, I could give you the availability of a Gator Magnum for your mower.
