Hello,
I have a Kenmore washer model# 16502690. Lately, in the wash and spin cycle the washer makes a loud, high pitch noise. The washer functions properly, however I would like to address the noise before further damage may occur. Any ideas on where to look first? and what to use to fix/lubricate the problem belt, etc.?
Thanks,
Joey

Joey-
Please provide more info about your machine. Kenmore is the Sears house brand, and could be made by any of a number of manufacturers. The model number you provided should be preceeded by a 3 digit number and a period. With that information and with this link,
http://www.applianceaid.com/searscodes.html
you'll be able to tell what kind of machine you have, and start the diagnostic process.
Good luck!
