Hi all...
Just discovered that my cement slab in the bathroom has an 1/8-1/4 inch low spot running the length of the room.
I assume porcelain tile should not go on an uneven floor. Do I try to level it by hand using thin-set or buy a self-leveling compound and pour it in???
Thank you.

Not all that big,you could either use a bigger notch trowel or butter up the tile as you go and work it out that way:cool:

Just got done doing the install. Took all day to do it, but got 'er done.
Unfortunatly I used both a bigger notch trowel (1/2") and back buttered the tiles....took a lot longer, used way too much thinset and may be just a touch higher then I wanted the finished product. All that and I didn't really fix the low spot in the floor. Good thing is, I think it's so slight, no one will ever know, and those tiles are in there for good.
Getting to the grout tomorrow...I'll update the other threads as I finish.
Thanks for the help,
Jasonnc
