I want to retile my 7x11 galley kitchen. The existing ceramic tiles have a number of cracks in them but none of them are lose. Breaking them up and disposal sounds like a lot of work! The floor is not flat it humps about 1/8th inch a foot to the center of the room. Could I apply a leveler to the tile then simply retile over that with new porcelian tile?
What would I use as the leveler and mastic?
thanks in advance.......

I would not chance it,those cracked tile are an indication of a more serious problem and putting tile over that would only lead to more problems.Remove the tile and take it down to the subfloor and get back to us so we can walk you through the process:cool:
