I am wanting to paint my dining room. It has a fairly light colored, small floral print wallpaper. Do I really need to remove all of the wallpaper first? Could I peel off what will come without a fight and then prime and paint over it? I'm sorry for asking such a dumb question, but my husband and I aren't very good "do-it-yourselfers." I'm also lazy. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Jen

I would remove it all. Don't remove part but rather everything. I am sure most in this forum will agree. Please make the effort to remove it, you will be glad you did.

I figured that's what I should do. But I thought if I could get out of it, why not try! Thanks!!

If you don't then:
1. it will look like you painted over the paper (seams, etc will show)
2. the paper will more than likely fail over the years and you end up with a bigger mess.
