I am painting a living/dining room with latex eggshell (satin) paint. I have applied the first coat and am wondering whether I need to sand before applying the second coat. Any advice would be welcomed.

I usually use a sanding pole with fine grit sanding screens, and do a quick go over before all coats. This will eliminate any hairs or boogers that get rolled on with the first coat. Just a quicky, not trying to sand it down, just a go over.
