Any suggestions on buying a mirror on the cheap?
I would like to hang a large mirror (maybe 6' by 4' or so) on a wall in my living room, nothing too fancy.
Where is a guy to go without breaking the bank?

Cheap??? To totally DIY, go to a glass shop and purchase a polished edge 1/4" X 72" X 48" mirror and the necessary hardware and take it home yourself. Price range $100 to $150.

If you're lucky, ask a friend.
We are remodeling both bathrooms in our house soon and are re-using the old rectangle, frameless, chipped mirrors by cutting them down the the size we want and am going to cut some nice molding for a new frame. We even found a huge mirror in the back yard of a rental house last year.
My point is, lots of folks are remodeling and getting rid of that 70's decor...ask around, you might get lucky.
Most places I've talked to will cut the mirrors for just a few $ per cut...on a square mirror, you're looking at a total cost of $20 for the cuts and new frame.
Good luck.
