The contractor is almost done with his part of a remodeling job... soon it's our turn to tile and paint. All surfaces are new except the ceiling. Would you confirm the right sequence of events for me?--
Vacuum existing shot-up ceiling.
Prime ceiling (latex?).
Paint ceiling (latex?).
Lightly sand new window and door trim.
Prime trim with oil based primer.
Prime greenboard & drywall with latex (PVA?) primer.
Paint walls (latex).
Paint trim (alkyd).
Furthermore... any helpful suggestions for painting that ceiling? Big-nap roller and a drop cloth over the tub (and floor?)?
Would you lay tile (floor & tub surround) before or after priming and/or painting?
Thanks for your help!

Sound good to me.As for big nap roller.. you can use a 3/8ths unless its really textured. I would paint first then lay everything down. just don't cut the tiles in the room

Yep, what he said, just be prepared to do some touch-ups after the surround is wedged in.
