My dishwasher does not fill with water. The hose is not kinked, what do I do short of calling someone in?

Hello: smithgator

May want to inspect and or replace the water fill valve. Should be or most likely will be in the front left corner inside the dishwasher.

Possible it is not able to drop down do to corrosion or etc on the shaft. Removing the lower kick panel will help to gain access to it's underside. Be sure electrical power to the machine is off.

Reading the existing posts in this forum will help provide more info. Already many dishwasher questions asked that have the same problem.

Read the manufacturers online web site for problem possibilities, solving methods, disassembly, reassembly methods, repair procedures, pictorials, downloadable repair manuals, etc which may be available online.

Search the manufacturers web site for a downloadable version of the owners or service manual. The file will be a pdf file opened with Adobe, which also needs to be downloaded first but worth having once obtained.

Retail appliance parts dealers can also help determine what the possible problem may be. Bring the make, model and serial numbers. Appliance part stores and dealers are listed in the phone book.

Check back on your question several more times. Other members posting replies in this forum topic may offer you additional advice, ideas, suggestions, test and or repair methods.

Hello Smithgator,
Besides the fill valve, check the float switch ,which is inside the dishwasher under the bottom rack, on some models they have a plastic cover over them secured by a screw take off the cover if it has one and make sure you hear a click when you manually pick up on the float and set it back down then retry the d/w.
