I'm getting ready to set and lay my tile on my kitchen floor. it is a Galley Kitchen, only 6 feet wide and 15 feet long. Also, there are cabinets and my stove flush against one wall for about half the room.

Everything I've read says to snap a chalk line in the dead center of the room, but that would be a part where the room is only about three feet wide.

Can I do two centers? One in the more square part of the room and one where the counters start and it becomes more narrow?

Yeah the rules say always start in the dead middle & work out, but I'd suggest doing a dry run with the tile & see what kind of lay-out will work best in your area & minimize the cuts needed to make it work out.

I always lay my tile out according to the sight line of the room.Whatever is going to look the best wether it be center of the room or starting on one wall and working to the other side of the room,whatever looks the best.There are no real rules on this other than asthetic value (looks).

If this is a pattern tile or you are going to have a border or an inset then by all means center the room.If all it is ,is tile then start wherever the tile is going to look the best:cool:
