Flooring Tile - Marble floor

I am getting ready to install a marble floor in my bathroom and have several questions regarding it. First, is marbel cut in the same way as ceramic tile (with a wet saw)? Second, is it common practice to butt the tiles right up against each other, or leave space to grout between? My brother and I are going back and forth on the spacer subject. Lastly, I'm guessing that you find the center of the room and start there just as with ceramic tile to create even tiles on all sides?

Yes you use a wet saw for your straight cuts, if you've got any curves, you'll need an angle grinder with a diamond blade as well.

There should be a small grout line, 1/16" is pretty common.

You do need to find your center & work out. Always do a dry-run first to see how the lay-out will work.

Before any stone is installed on your floor, have you checked for deflection? What is the size span and spacing of the floor joists? I just want to make sure you don't run into any floor movement issues in the future.
