I have a Kenmore washer model 110.20702990. It's about 4 or 5 years old and the orginal cost was about $300. It seems to agitate but wont spin the cloths. The pump works. My questions are: Is it something the I can fix or have fixed resonabley or is it time to get a new one.

Hi coachman124,
Take a look at your lid switch if broken or if lever on the door that engages the lid sw. is broken.
another possible cause could be the clutch.
on your model washer the cabinet is removed in order to replace lid sw. and to check clucth drum if it spins.
reply back as to if lid sw. or needs to go deeper to solve.
both items can be repaired by the home owner with guidance or a tech can replace clutch in my area job would be around 125.00
for clutch and 85.00 for lid sw. replacement includes service call.
