I have a new house and the toilets are the new "water saver" kind (Peerless 1.6 gallon). The water in the bowl is too low and it takes two or three flushes almost every time if there's toilet paper in the bowl. Anything we can do other than replace the darn things?

Is there a plastic insert "bucket" that reduces the amount of water in the tank in your toilets? If so, you can cut them out to help solve problem. OR, you can go to Canada and buy a new one that isn't low-flow "water-saver". OR, you can find an older toilet manufactured prior to this brilliant Federally-mandated-fiasco-type toilet. Just make sure that if you replace your toilets, that the distance from the wall to the bolts in the floor is the same. Replace wax rings and use new bolts. Good Luck!

Did you try to raise the water level in the tank?If you havent I would bring it almost to the top of the over flow tube, that might be just enough extra water to help out.Good luck
