I have a Kitchen Aid Energy Saver V Superba by Hobart, Model KDS-20.
This has been an ongoing problem. The main cycle Energy Saver works fine as does the Rinse and Hold cycle. That's about it. All other cycles, ie Heavy Wash, Pots and Pans, Sani Cycle will cycle through PREWASH but lets NO water in, then the SANIHEAT light comes on as well (still no water) and the heating element GLOWS red. At this point I cancel the cycle. Any ideas what needs to be fixed?
Thanks
Joe

Hello: Joe
May be and or is most likely to be the main control panel. Unplug the appliance and remove the main board. Have it inspected and or tested at the local appliance parts store.
Read the manufacturers online web site for problem possibilities, solving methods, disassembly, reassembly methods, repair procedures, pictorials, downloadable repair manuals, etc which may be available online.
Search the manufacturers web site for a downloadable version of the owners or service manual. The file will be a pdf file opened with Adobe, which also needs to be downloaded first but worth having once obtained.
Retail appliance parts dealers can also help determine what the possible problem may be. Bring the make, model and serial numbers. Appliance part stores and dealers are listed in the phone book.

Hi Joe,
Some of the older Kitchenaid D/W had a double solenoid water valve,
turn off the power to unit remove front lower panel and look at the water fill valve if it is a double solenoid chances are one is bad or screen clogged with debri.
