I have a brand new top load Whirlpool washing machine and the clothes sometimes come out with dry spots or aren't as wet as they should be. What causes this?

Hello: julbox3134
If the tub is filling up, there may be too many clothes in the tub. Thus the clothes are so tightly packed in, they are not rotating with the agitator motions. Put in less clothes and give that a try.
If the machine has a water level control on the front panel, be sure it is set to full or high or whatever setting allows the waters level to reach it's max level.
